June 4 through June 11, 2008

Using information from the past classroom activities and computer access,
students should be able to:
-take a final exam.
-complete and present iMovies on the chosen science topic.

The last school days are here!

Students will take final exams on the following days:

Thursday, June 5 - Blocks 2 and 6
Friday, June 6 - Block 3
Monday, June 9 - Block 4
Tuesday, June 10 - Blocks 1 and 5
Make-up exams - Wednesday, June 11

Remember, there is a modified schedule on June 9-11.

Students not taking the exam either worked on their iMovie projects or presented their work.

The projects should include the information listed in the last blog.

Have a great summer!

Monday, 2 June and Tuesday, 3 June, 2008

Use this sheet to "determine" your grade for the technical report.

Using information from the novel "One Day in a Tropical Rain Forest", movies, internet access, and classroom discussions,
students should be able to:
-read a fictional novel to discover biological facts.
-describe how impairments in one organ system affect other organ systems and the organism.
-review for the final.
-make an iMovie presentation on a biology concept.

Students chose ONE word/concept from the following list:

archaebacteria, eubacteria, protist, fungi, plant, animal, cell, organ system, tissue, producer, consumer, food chain, phloem, photosynthesis, biodiversity, biotic, abiotic, community, population, habitat, ecosystem, predator, prey, scavenger, decomposer, water cycle, nitrogen cycle, or carbon dioxide-oxygen cycle

Students will make an iMovie presentation based on that word. The directions can be found at the top of the blog.

The home learning assignment is to complete the book report form, due next class meeting. Also study for the final!
